25 Iowa Republicans Endorse Sarah Trone Garriott for Congress

DES MOINES, Iowa — Following her victory in last night’s debate, Sarah Trone Garriott today launched “Republicans for Sarah” and announced the endorsements of 25 registered Republicans who are backing her campaign for Congress. The endorsers come from communities across Iowa’s third congressional district.

Sarah was joined at a press conference in Urbandale by two of them: Lee Prince of Johnston and Roger Garrett of Des Moines, who shared why they are crossing party lines to support her in this election.

“I’m grateful to Lee, Roger, and every Republican who is standing with me,” said Sarah Trone Garriott. “Most Iowans don’t see their neighbors as red or blue. Iowans in both parties are sick of politicians who go to Washington, take the special interest money, then vote to make our lives more expensive. I’ll work just as hard for the folks who didn’t vote for me as for the ones who did. That means banning members of Congress from trading stocks, setting term limits, and cutting taxes for hardworking Iowans.”

“I’m a Republican who voted for Zach Nunn last go-around, and I’m enthusiastically supporting Sarah,” said Lee Prince, a Johnston Republican. “I’ve worked with Sarah closely on religious freedom initiatives and disaster relief, helping Iowans in their most dire need. She’s a person of tremendous integrity, compassion, and substance. Her character and policies are what we desperately need representing Iowa values.”
