Sarah Trone Garriott Wins KCCI Debate

DES MOINES, Iowa — During tonight’s KCCI debate, Sarah Trone Garriott held Zach Nunn accountable for his record of siding with his donors and hurting Iowa families, while sharing her vision for showing up and making life better for Iowans.

On the other hand, Zach Nunn could not defend his record of raising costs and siding with D.C. donors and politicians instead of Iowans.

“Zach Nunn spent the last four years in Washington siding with his campaign donors and the special interests instead of standing up for Iowans,” said Sarah Trone Garriott campaign manager Zach Schenkman. “On the debate stage, Zach Nunn had no answer for why he blocked the bipartisan effort to release the Epstein Files, and Sarah Trone Garriott called out his record of raising prices and putting corrupt politicians first. Iowans are ready for new leadership who actually shows up for them, and that’s what Sarah will deliver: a true commitment to lowering costs for middle-class families, tackling corruption in Washington, and putting Iowans before the special interests.”
